Employment Opportunity-Building & Code Enforcement Inspector

The City of Marshfield, MO., is accepting applications for the full-time position of Building & Code Enforcement Inspector. This position will process and coordinate building permits, review and approve construction in coordination with other City departments and staff; inspect buildings, structures, sites, and properties for compliance with all local, state and federal building and nuisance codes enforced by the City and perform related administrative tasks. The work is performed under the direction of the City Administrator.  Interested applicants should have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with vocational/technical training in construction trades; five years residential and commercial construction or general contractor experience; or combination of education and experience.  Applicable certifications in construction inspection and construction plan review are highly desirable. The position is full-time and the City offers an excellent benefit package which includes health insurance and LAGERS retirement plan.
