Request for Qualifications-Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Services

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS – AMENDED 5/23/18

The City of Marshfield is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from firms licensed in the State of Missouri for professional services related to Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Services

for a new municipal owned Activity Center Pool project.  The project consists of construction of an approximately 6,500 sf outdoor pool; new parking lot and driveway consisting of approximately 50,000 sf of impervious area; and extension of Elm Street (i.e. a new street) with a length of approximately 1,300 linear feet. 

The project is located in northeast Marshfield, north of Elm Street on the north side of Highway CC.

Prior to release of this RFQ, the following consultants and contractors have been selected by the City of Marshfield for this project:  Sapp Design Associates Architects, P.C. (Aquatic Pool Design), and Westport Construction (General Contractor).   The selected firm must be available to begin providing services immediately upon selection and contract approval.

To be considered for selection interested firms shall submit their response with their firm’s qualifications and experience in a sealed envelope with “Marshfield Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Services Qualifications” clearly labeled on the outside.  A second sealed envelope must also be submitted by each interested firm with their proposed fee for these services with “Marshfield Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Services Fee Proposal” clearly labeled on the outside. 

The selection process will include the City’s review and ranking of the “qualifications submittals” received.  Following ranking of the interested firms received, the City shall then open the top ranked submittal’s fee proposal. If a fee and contract cannot be mutually agreed upon between the City and the preferred firm, the City shall then proceed to fee submitted by the next highest ranked firm.

Submittals shall be sent to: Mr. John Benson, City Administrator, City of Marshfield, 798 South Marshall St., Marshfield, MO 65706 and must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on June 7, 2018.  The City of Marshfield reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any or all proposals.
