Proposed Mask Ordinance & Public Comment Procedure

The City of Marshfield Board of Aldermen will hold a public comment session during their regular scheduled business meeting, September 10th, 2020 regarding a city-wide mask mandate. The public comment section will be held after hearing the latest COVID-19 update early in the meeting. To allow for social distancing, this meeting will be held at the Webster County Justice Center located at 203 E. Jefferson Street, Marshfield Mo. This regular meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. 

The public comment section is open to the public and will also be available for viewing via zoom. The criteria to speak will be as follows:

  • Must be present to speak
  • Those wishing to speak during the public hearing will be allowed 3 minutes and must have a ticket
  • Tickets will be available upon arrival and entry into the facility
  • Tickets will be first come, first serve from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  to the first 50 persons wishing to speak
  • The number on the ticket does not reflect the speaker order, numbers will be drawn randomly  
  • The meeting will be streamed for those waiting to speak. Board of Aldermen will meet in a separate room.
  • The Ordinance to be considered by the Board of Aldermen regarding a mask mandate will be viewable on September 4th, 2020 on (LINK BELOW), posted at City Hall, and on the City of Marshfield Facebook page.
