Public Asked to Provide Input on Marshfield’s Future

The City of Marshfield and the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG; pronounced: ‘sim-cog’) are excited to present the 2022 update of the Marshfield Transportation Plan for public input. The transportation plan has served as a continuous source of guidance for the city regarding the transportation network and investments since it was last developed in 2009. Moving forward, the Plan will serve as a guide for decision-making and policy implementation that will improve mobility for residents and visitors of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

The public may access a draft version of the document beginning on Monday, October 24, 2022, through Monday, November 7, 2022, as a digital version on the city’s website or as a print version at the Marshfield City Hall during business hours. Public comments may be submitted to the SMCOG Project Manager, Aishwarya Shrestha, at or at (417) 836-6901.

The Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG) is a Regional Planning Commission and an association of local governments in a ten-county area of southwest Missouri. SMCOG serves Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Lawrence, Polk, Stone, Taney, and Webster counties. SMCOG is one of 19 active regional planning organizations throughout Missouri.
