Important Soccer Information


  • Soccer Staff

  • Communication

    • You can communicate with Dianna directly with the remind app, email Dianna Schuman. , or  by phone (417-859-7660).
    • Coaches will also communicate with parents directly
  • Team Placement

    • Lil' Kickers will be placed by age and gender. Player's age will be determined by the date of the first scheduled game.
    • Youth Soccer players will be placed by experience level (assigned at registration) as well as age and gender.
  • Practices

    • Practices will take place at Rotary Park once per week. Practices start the week before the first game. Practice schedule
    • Your child's coach will receive his or her official team roster at our pre-season coaches meeting. At that point, coaches will begin reaching out to let parents know when and where practices will take place.  
    • Rainouts/Cancellation Policy: Cancellations for practice will come directly from your coach
    • Additional Helpers:
      Anyone who is going to be on the field interacting with the kids needs to pass a background check. Click volunteer form to download a form. Completed forms can then be returned to the parks office at 798 S. Marshall St. between 8:30am and 4:30pm M-F or dropped in the overnight drop box in the drive through after hours. Volunteers can also submit completed forms by email to Dianna Schuman.
  • Games

    • Game Schedules
    • Rainouts/Cancellations will be made a minimum of 1 hour before the first game via the Remind app. Cancellations will also be announced via Facebook following the text alert announcement.
      • Make up games will typically be on Sunday of the following week starting at 1pm. 
      • The specific Remind code can be found under schedules and weather information. 
    • Before Games check that your players have:
      • Proper footwear
      • Tall socks and shin guards*Any issues/problems with a player’s attire can only be fixed by the parent
    • During Games
      • If you have a concern please bring it to the Complex Manager. If for some reason the Complex Manager is unable to help you, please let the Parks Coordinator know. [remind.com, office: 417-859-7660 or email Dianna Schuman.}
         
      • Seating and game schedule times: Please bring personal seating for yourself and family members.
        • Seating for parents for Lil Kickers will be on either side of the field. Practices and games will be 30 minutes. Games consist of 2, 15 minute halves.
        • Seating for parents for U6 will be on the side closest to Rotary Pavilion. Game time is 32 minutes. There will be 4, 8 minute quarters.  
        • Seating for parents for U9 will be on the sides farthest from the street. Game time is 40 minutes. There will be 2, 20 minute halves. 
        • Seating for parents for U12 will be on the right side of the field located furthest south on the map. Game time is 50 minutes. There will be 2, 25 minute halves. 
    • After Games please help the Referee staff reset for the next game by getting your team off the field and out of the way for the incoming teams and picking up any trash and personal items. 
  • Team Shirts

    • Shirts will distributed to coaches by game 1.  
    • Additional orders will take 2 weeks to receive. Our goal is to have the additional shirt order in by picture day.
  • Picture Day

    • Pictures will be with Inter-State. The day and schedule for pictures will be announced via email.  For more information about how to order pictures, click here. 
  • Team names and colors

    • Coaches submit names for each of the teams. Each team has been assigned a color. Please check with your coach for this information
  • Parking

    • Parking is not allowed beside the water and fire department building, or on the street. Police will tow cars. You are allowed to park in Rotary Parking lot, at city hall or in the gravel parking lot. Please do not block other cars in.
  • Awards Ceremony

    • On the last game day of the season, we will be presenting the players with medals after the end of each game. Teams will meet at Rotary Park in the area in front of the old concessions stand. 
  • Sportsmanship 

    • Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, educational environment for the kids. Please do not argue, yell, or use profanity against any referee, staff, or coach at any time. You may be asked to leave.
  • Alcohol, tobacco use, and vaping are not allowed on parks property.
